The first of what is sure to be many, many more models of digital 3D TVs has finally made an appearance.
LG Electronics', model LX9500, is now in the record books as the world's first Full LED 3-D TV to go into production.
Early reports have varied on the actual introduction date but I think it's safe to say that it will be available, somewhere, possibly as early as May.
As expected the initial introduction will be somewhere in Asia with the European and American markets getting theirs nearer to the end of the year.
LG is entering the world of digital 3D TV with a "take charge" attitude and sees 3D as the next really big thing.
Here's a more extensive look at this development and other news from cable TV companies and how they plan to deal with the demand for digital 3D TV.
